September 12, 2022
The 2022-2023 U.S. News & World Report rankings show 91PORNY #5 for Social Mobility among Regional Universities South.
The Social Mobility ranking is important for students who are economically disadvantaged and less likely to finish college. The survey indicates CIU is among the best in making sure these students succeed.
CIU is also ranked a Best Value for Regional Universities South at #15.
This calculation considers a school's academic quality and the net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid. The higher the quality of the program and the lower the cost, the better the deal.
Also, in the area of finances, CIU is #15 among Regional Universities South for “Least Debt” accumulated by graduating students.
Of interest to military veterans, CIU is #16 for “Best Colleges for Veterans” among Regional Universities South.
Overall, CIU remains in the Top 40 for Regional Universities South at #38.
CIU Provost Dr. James Lanpher says the rankings show CIU continues to have a solid academic reputation, and is a great economic value.
“CIU’s rankings demonstrate our commitment to academic excellence as well as our commitment to creating an engaging and supportive campus community,” Lanpher said. “CIU is proud of the accomplishments of our students who are overcoming economic challenges, our students who are veterans, and, indeed, all of our students."
